Last weekend, quite possibly the hottest day of the year so far, we decided to take Max on a train for the first time.
We went to Brighton..... along with everyone else on the south coast! The train on the way to Brighton was more packed then the Tubes. We didn't get to sit down and daddy had hold of Max in his arms the whole journey there.
On our walk down from the station Max had fallen asleep so we made the most of this and had a good look around the Disney store whilst he slept - cruel parents I know - but we did buy him Simba and it was totally worth seeing his face when he woke up to Simba - priceless.
We went to see 'Walking with Dinosaurs' in Churchill Square as seen on their facebook page "Our 'Walking with Dinosaurs!' themed Snapper Jaxx event takes place this Sunday and is guaranteed fun for the young ones!" This was one rather plump woman dressed in I don't know what outfit (looked more like a crocodile than a dinosaur) walking around and another woman dressed in some Safari outfit handing out colouring in pictures to kids! The most outrageous claim to 'Walking with Dinosaurs' ever! In fact, daddy went over to the Safari woman and asked her where the 'Walking with Dinosaurs' were and she did indeed point to the plump woman and say 'there' !!
Once back at the station we see cancellations due to crew shortages and had the daunting thought of being at the station an hour before the next train was due. Fortunately, though, an extra train had been laid on to get us home and we managed to get Max a seat for the journey home.
Sitting with daddy, he loved it, jiggled away as the train moved and watched everything around him. Made the day very worthwhile.
Next time we might just go to Worthing ;)
