Yes, the Marvel characters have come to life and are on a mission at the O2 arena to battle over the Cosmic Cube, the source of ultimate power and one of the most feared and coveted treasures in the Marvel Universe.
And it was fantastic!
We arrived just as the show started - thanks to me totally misjudging the traffic and time required to get there - but at least I'd pre-booked our parking ticket!
I didn't tell my son until the journey up there where we were going purely because I didn't want him driving me batty all morning with excitement..... and the boy can get excited (he may get that from me!).
Unfortunately, I'd forgotten to put his noise defenders in my bag.... and during the first half, he sat with his hands over his ears (I felt like such a rubbish parent) until my partner showed me other children doing the same.
Second half and with all the superheroes on a quest, my son soon got accustomed to the noise levels and started rooting for Wolverine, Spiderman, and was on the edge of his seat waiting to see the Hulk.
I just loved it all and have to admit the motorbike stunts were my favourite part.
All the characters performed great, and we could see very well in our seats, so big brownie points for Mum.
Such a great event and you know what - I'd quite happily go back and watch it again. The merchandise though - very much out of this world prices, must come via from Asgard!
Oh you lucky girl! I'm so glad you got to go to see this! Although we went to meet the actors as part of Disney's campaign, our contact who had promised us press tickets to the show left and so we never heard anymore about it and i ended up totally losing track of when it was on. x
ReplyDeleteOh that's such a shame!!
