Green Living Made Easy thanks to Nancy Birtwhistle

I have mentioned in previous posts that I am trying to work towards a greener living lifestyle, and thanks to Sustainable Beauty, I am now making my own deodorant and face serum, in fact, I love the feel of the face serum so much, I'm thinking of making these as Christmas presents!

When I saw the new book by Nancy Birtwhistle, Green Living made easy, I knew I had to have it.

Released in March 2022, this little book packs a punch with 101 Eco Tips, Hack and Recipes to save time and money - both of which we all need more of.

I have had this book for a month now and I'm approximately halfway through!  It is jam-packed with articles on cooking, baking, cleaning and growing!

Making Pure Magic Cleaner thanks to Green Living Book

I have already made the pure magic cleaning product and used it, it did mean using citric acid which is a first for me, but it left the toilet sparkling clean.  I am still a fan of white vinegar for general cleaning use, which I picked up from my sustainability course.

I have several pages marked as "must-do" such as making and storing my own stock for cooking, making hanging planters from plastic bottles for the garden and drying out my lavender.

I still have so much more to read in this book and see it now as a survival guide to an eco-friendly home rather than a one-off read.  A must-have for every home.

An added bonus to this book is that Nancy Birtwhistle was the 2014 Great British Bake-off winner and has included some of her recipes.    Priced at £14.99 this is certainly a book that will recover its costs in no time.
